De Sousa's Furniture Restoring Inc. was founded by George De Sousa in 1968. The company did furniture repair, refinishing and upholstery. Since December 27, 2009, the refinisher, Jitendra Prasad who has been working for the company for over 40 years took over the repair and refinishing portion of the business under the De Sousa's Furniture Restoring Inc. name. During the transition, George and Lesley De Sousa continued doing the upholstery portion of the business under a new business, De Sousa's Designs Inc. DBA - De Sousa's Interiors. In 2014, George De Sousa passed away leaving Lesley and Prasad to continue his legacy. De Sousa's Interiors is solely owned by Lesley De Sousa and is a woman owned business. We are two separate entities but work side by side. De Sousa's Furniture Restoring Inc. located in Suite C does furniture Wood Repair, Refinishing and Re-Caning. De Sousa's Interiors located in Suite D does Upholstery, Restoration, Sales and Design. Both businesses also Custom Build. Some customers still see us as one. However, we two separate entities that work closely together.
